When are we going to remember that these are businessmen and not to be trusted - not because they intentionally are crooks and liars (a lot of them are) but because what motivates them is one simple thing only - PROFIT and their bottom line - they do not take into account the big picture and their feet have to be held to the fire in order to comply with common sense. Just because they are rich doesn't make them smart.
Regulation wouldn't be necessary if our captains of industry operated from a macroeconomic mind set but they don't. Self interest and often corrupted self interest govern their every move.
Beyond short sighted they are damn near blind to anything other than hustling for the one last buck ($) on the table.
